Newburgh Juniors Football Club has been part of the fabric of the town for well over a century. Founded in 1887, the club began life as Tayside Albion, later becoming Newburgh West End in 1910, before taking the name Newburgh Juniors in 1935.
Since 1910, the club has called East Shore Park home. Few grounds can boast such longevity. East Shore Park retains the character and enclosure of traditional Scottish football — a place steeped in history, memories, and community spirit.
Our Clubhouse
At the heart of the ground sits our clubhouse, a building that has served players, officials, volunteers, and supporters for generations. From matchdays and team talks to committee meetings and social events, it has long been a focal point of the club.
While the clubhouse retains its charm and uniqueness, its age now means that essential upkeep and repair work is required to ensure it remains fit for purpose.
Why We Need Support
The club is currently seeking support to help fund vital maintenance and repair works, including:
These works are necessary to maintain safe, welcoming facilities and to protect the long-term future of the building.
A Ground Worth Preserving
East Shore Park is not only important to the club and local community — it is also a popular destination for football groundhoppers, drawn by its traditional feel and historic character. We are proud of that heritage and keen to preserve what makes the ground special.
Our aim is not to modernise for the sake of it, but to protect and maintain the character of the club and its home, ensuring it can be enjoyed for many years to come.
Looking Ahead
Newburgh Juniors has survived and thrived for nearly 140 years, thanks to the dedication of volunteers, supporters, and the wider football community. With your help, we can safeguard the clubhouse and continue to provide a welcoming home for players, supporters, and visitors alike.
