Newburgh Juniors Football Club are delighted to announce their new team manager. Rikki McNeill joins the club from his last club Whitehill Welfare, where he was first team coach.

Rikki has a host of prior experience including 2 years at Doncaster Rovers FC, Preston North End and Fleetwood Town FC along with 3 years as First Team Coach and Under 20 Manager at Preston Athletic in East Lothian.

Rikki has attended the last couple of Newburgh matches and has already made a number of observations that he thinks will benefit the team.

The team met Rikki for the first time after this afternoon’s 2-0 win over Tweedmouth Rangers at Shielfield Stadium where the new manager had a lot of praise and was impressed with a lot of what he saw from his new side.

Chairman Mike Stevenson said: “We were very impressed with what Rikki had to say during his interviews and admired his enthusiasm and ideas for the side.”
