Newburgh Juniors are pleased to be able to formally welcome two additions to the playing squad for the season.
Both striker Rhys Wardlaw and midfielder CJ Thomson have appeared within the pre-season friendlies, as well as being named on the substitute bench on the season’s opener against Linton Hotspur before putting pen to deals.
Rhys also managed a goal in that game against Linton finishing off a pass from Owen McNally in the closing stages off the game, whilst CJ started the match on Tuesday evening at Easterhouses with Rhys coming off the bench in the second half.
Welcome to The Burgh, guys! Both players are now available for Sponsorship, please email jez@newburghjfc.com
Meanwhile, midfielder Ruairidh McPhate has left the club during the week for pastures new. Ruairidh started 26 games for the Burgh since his debut in March 2022 with a further 28 games from the bench, scoring two goals.
We want to thank Ruairidh for his hard-work and dedication throughout his time at the club and wish him every success on his future move.
